Taking a Break!

Hi Everyone,

Wholly Cats Swing Club is going to be on hiatus for a while. That means as of July 2025, we won't be doing any concerts or recording (for the time being, at least!).

You can still visit our website to listen to our recordings, download tracks, watch videos or buy some merch. You can still go to our social links to watch videos, or stream our studio tracks.

We want to thank all of you who have supported Wholly Cats Swing Club. You all have been great and we thank you for sharing our love of The Music of The Great Swing Era.

We love you and hope to see you somewhere down the road.

And remember……

… Swing, Baby, Swing!

Chelsee on The Radio

Latest Video: "Your Grandma Did It"

Our latest, and first original single, “Your Grandma Did It,” released on August 28. Today we released the official lyrics video with some help from the movie “Swing Dance Fever,” which was released in 1943. The video clips depict our heroine, Sally, much like we envisioned her attending the Saturday Night USO dances back in the 1940's. Special guest Jack Woods appears in the videos on upright bass.

New Single release: "Black Coffee"

The latest single by Wholly Cats Swing Club and our first studio recording with Ms. Chelsee Hicks performing a very sultry vocal of a classic tune made famous by Miss Peggy Lee. Also on the recording are Marc Rosen on tenor sax, Tony Spear on electric guitar, Michael Grigsby on double bass and Paul Gibson on drums. Engineer: Duncan Stitt. Arranged by Marc Rosen. Produced by Tony Spear.

Stream or Download "Black Coffee" at www.whollycatsswingclub.com/music.

Also on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music under "Wholly Cats Swing Club."

Some sad news

Everyone in the Wholly Cats Swing Club family is shocked and saddened by the news of the sudden passing of former and founding member Ms. Julie Buck. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all her family and friends. Julie was not only an incredibly talented musician but also a very generous and gracious bandmate and friend. We will miss her.
