Wholly Cats News 11/11/2022

First: To all our Veterans, a grateful “Thank You” from Wholly Cats Swing Club. We appreciate the sacrifices you have made in defense of our freedoms.

Second: A special note of appreciation to Pete Swan Music for having us perform at his Thursday Night Residency at The Century Room on Nov. 3. If you were there, you had a “swinging” good time featuring some spontaneous dancing in the aisles. We certainly had a great time performing for you.

Next: Here is what’s going on with the band in the next few weeks:

  • December 2: We will be releasing as a single, a tune that has become an audience favorite at our live events: “Fever” in the style of the great Peggy Lee, but with some uniquely Wholly Cats Swing Club flavor. (Julie Buck absolutely crushed the vocal during our studio sessions!) Stay tuned for information about download and streaming options as the date draws near. If you would like a copy now, you can download our album, “Jumpin’ and Jivin’,” right now, directly from our website.

  • December 8: We will be at the SAACA “2nd Thursdays” event at Oro Valley Marketplace. 6:00-7:30 pm. We will be performing swinging versions of a number of holiday favorites along with our usual selection of classics from The Great Swing Era. No cover charge thanks to the nice people at SAACA. Come join us!

  • December 18: We will be opening the festivities for Mister Bing’s The Holiday Gala at The Savoy Opera House. This Holiday Version of Mister Bing's famous Supper Club will sell out quickly! Please click here for ticket information.

Finally…

It’s hard to believe, but it has been just over one year that we have been performing as a band here in the Tucson area and would like to say, as this Season of Thanks draws near, how thankful we are to all of you for the support you have shown to Wholly Cats Swing Club.

We would also like to thank the many venues and organizations that have supported us this past year including: Tucson Jazz Festival, St. Philips’s Plaza, Hotel Congress Plaza, Pete Swan Music, The Century Room, SAACA, Mister Bing’s Presents, The Arizona Swing Cats and KXCI.
